There are thousands of Community Websites on the Internet. Posting a page on a community website is a great way of contacting people. Most people check out sites just to get information, express themselves or to find opportunities to make money. Most community websites are free and will allow you to have your own web page. Setting up a web page on these sites will give you the opportunity to reach more people. The most popular online community sites are MySpace.com and FaceBook.com.
Another popular site, which is geared more towards recording artist is www.IndependentMusicExchange.com. This site will allow you to paste your link. Once you are at a community site, you must register and build your own web page. Click on "sign up" and follow their instructions.
As soon as you log in, you will see tabs which are usually at the top of the page. Click on the tab "My Page". Once you are there, you will see an Edit Button for each section of your page, where changes can be made.
Paste your Affliliate Link right under the area of your profile information.
Now, Log into your Affiliate account and click on Banners/Links. You can choose from a list of Banners. We are using the larger banners because Independent Music Exchange does not limit the coding space on their website. Under each of our banners, you will see show banner code, click on this. A dropdown box will have your HTML code link as well as the banner picture you selected. Copy this code (make sure you copy from beginning to end) then go to your Independent Music Exchange web page and click on the edit link found under your profile info. This is where you can paste HTML Coding. Once you paste the code, you will see it appear. Click on save to see your banner.
You can add more than one banner on your page. Put a space between the first coding and then paste your second banner code. Click on save again and you will see 2 banners on your page. If you do a search on the Independent Music Exchange website, by typing "TheMC" in the search box, you will see the World's Largest Rap Contest page.
Now you are ready to search the Internet for other Music Community Websites or any site that people who are interested in Music might visit. Google as many sites as you can. The more sites you post Your Page on, you increase your chances of becoming a Top Affiliate.
Note: Some Websites will not allow posting of Links that will direct people outside of their website. So, as soon as you see that you can not post your Link, move on to another site.
